Changing Hue

As I sit,

watching a painted sky,

colors changing hue…

Right before my very eyes

a pallet of peach, gold and blue.

The clouds, white,

suspended in blue skies

just a moment ago,

were embraced by the

first morning light.

They didn’t even try to fight

the infiltration of the Sun

but instead, held fast

until the two became one.

The blessing of this union

gave birth to a new light,

an array of colors

so soft, warm and bright.

This majestic scene,

the sunrise,

in its entire splendor

has cast upon me

a precious memory,

that I will behold

ever in the beauty

of my being.
